Pets are not permitted in the main lodge, fireplace rooms  or lake view. This is an awesome, thorough itinerary that I will definitely use coming from Ohio. One question, I do not need day hiking permits or any reservations for any part of the park, correct? I am staying in Port Angeles and Forks per your suggestions! The Mount Rainier reservation system has thrown me for a loop, haha.
The Forks Motel– The Forks Motel has 73 guestrooms, an outdoor pool, free parking, and free wifi throughout the property. It’s also close to the center of Forks, where there are plenty of restaurants, so it’s ideal if you don’t want a self-catered vacation. If you want to enjoy some more urban attractions, there are plenty of shops in Port Angeles, including boutique stores and antique shops. Alternatively, walk the Mural Trail around Port Angeles, which details the area’s Native American culture and maritime heritage. Lake Cushman Home – This modern, cabin-style home has gorgeous views over the water and can sleep up to six people, with two bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a deck.

Great place, huge portions, very filling with decent prices. We tried the fish, chicken, noodle, eggplant potatoes and black fungus. Spacious tables, great decor, efficient staff and overall we had a great decor. To those who complain about customer service, please this is Chinatown not fine dining. This is great place for Sichuan Chinese food that's well priced, good quality and tasty.

This area, because of its location, is often overlooked by many visitors and tends to be less crowded. It loops through some of the oldest trees in the area. As its name implies, it is also one of the best places to capture the moss hanging from the trees.
For some, this is the main reason for visiting Olympic National Park. This easily accessible beach is a very popular destination and one of the best things to do in Olympic National Park. It gets its named from the ruby-colored crystals in the sand. When exploring this part of the park, the best place to stay is at the Kalaloch Lodge or in the town of Forks. This glacially carved lake is a great place to go canoeing or kayaking.

Pit toilets and a campground are located at Cape Alava for those with wilderness backpacking permits. Many with mobility issues will want to skip this beach and the steep trail to the beach. Those who do take the trail are rewarded with much to explore and photograph. It’s also close to town, so unlike many of the beaches on Olympic Peninsula, you don’t need to hike to get there.
There’s so much of the Olympic National Park coastline to explore right by the Hoh Rainforest. Ruby Beach and the Tree of Life are just south, and then you’ve got epic beaches near Forks to see, too. Just promise me you won’t only see the rainforest; get out to the nearby sites.
The trail continues as it turns south again along S. Discovery Rd and becomes somewhat narrow and winding with a rougher surface. The completed trail currently ends at the planned crossing of S. The temporary trail route continues on the road toward the Four Corners intersection with State Hwy 20, but is not recommended for disabled travel.

The owner Mel and the staff were efficient but not intrusive and our experience was really great. I would definitely return again as well as recommend others to enjoy this great Italian restaurant. Piccolo Roma Olympic Park is an Italian restaurant and pizzeria with a stylish black-and-red design and outdoor seating. It's conveniently located near the Qudos Bank Arena, making it a perfect spot for pre or post-event dining. The restaurant offers a special menu for major events and has attentive staff who provide excellent service.
Maccas is just down the stairs won't be returning to this oportos again. We've been here before last year and also when it was a kaiten sushi place. Thought I would drop in again to support a small local business! Unfortunately we went in during a normal dinner time when there were only 2 tables of people and got completely ignored at the front for 10 minutes. Eventually we left and went across the street to Shiroi Orange and had a much better experience.
