This was because the warranty was already in effect when the first owner bought the car, NOT me. I was really frustrated so I checked all the paperwork that I had originally signed and to my surprise there was no warranty expiry date on the papers. Keep in mind that usually when purchasing a warranty the end date is supposed to be on the paperwork but as you can see these people are not trust worthy. They sold me on a “5 year” warranty but what I really got was 4 years and 6 months.
